Oils, for now. Animals still have opinions.

Work has turned to oils. Landscapes and seascapes, docks and open water, fields close to home. Sheep still turn up. So do pugs. The paint is heavier; the subjects still have character.

Before that I drew and painted in ink and watercolour from life: birds on the feeder, Henry the cockerel, runners that would not stay still, safari parks and Edinburgh Zoo, farms and rare breeds. You can still find penguins, garden birds, portraits, and safari pieces under Ranges, under Earlier work. Prints and cards are a sideline now. I still like those animals. I just lead with the oils.

I trained in art history and spent time in museums and galleries before settling in Worcestershire. I show locally when it makes sense. If you want a piece, or want to talk about a commission, enquire. Instagram is where unfinished things and studio days still appear.
